What Is Colorado Free Application Day$?
For the fourth year in a row, the Colorado Department of Higher Education is teaming up with colleges and universities across Colorado to waive college application fees for Colorado students.
Colorado Free Application Day was created to encourage Colorado students to continue their education. This year, the initiative has grown from one to three days (hence the name Free Application Day$) and takes place from Tuesday, Oct. 19 through Thursday, Oct. 21.
To fulfill its goals of becoming an equity-serving institution and university for life, CU Denver is committed to creating an inclusive and just environment for all learners at all stages of life. This is another opportunity to do just that.
How do I know if I qualify?
All Colorado residents—first-time freshmen, transfer students, returning students, and applicants seeking a second bachelor’s degree—qualify for Colorado Free Application Days.
How does it work?
We recommend having your application materials prepared before Colorado Free Application Day$. As long as you submit your online application and your personal statement (if required) between Oct. 19 – 21, other documents can be submitted anytime afterward.
How do I apply?
You can apply to CU Denver during Colorado Free Application Day$ two ways.
Apply through Milo’s App: On the Welcome Application page, enter “FreeAppDayCO” in the application fee waiver code box.
Apply through the Common App: When prompted to use a school specific fee waiver, say yes and enter the code “FreeAppDayCO” to ensure your application fee is waived.
