Tune in to watch the 2018 Winter Olympics and you may feel a stroke of CU Denver pride during the commercial breaks. As part of the second year of the university’s CU in the City campaign, a new TV commercial will air during the 9News broadcast of the games in February.

Here’s a peek at the new CU in the City TV commercial filmed in December:

Nearly a year after the CU in the City brand launched, the university community is building on its inaugural success. Now through June, you’ll see new and refreshed images, videos and ad placements that dig deeper into the university’s story of quality academics and dynamic learning opportunities.

CU in the City
All the talent featured in the CU in the City campaign are CU Denver faculty, students or alumni.

Like last year, you’ll see familiar faces in this spring’s campaign imagery. All the talent who are bringing the university brand to life in images and sound are CU Denver students, alumni or faculty. And CU Denver’s award-winning acapella group, Lark, supplies vocals for the TV commercial music.

“The most amazing thing about CU in the City is its authenticity,” said Karen Klimczak, assistant vice chancellor for marketing and brand strategy in University Communications. “We called on our very own people to represent our university. The result is this vibrant depiction of a place where academics and aspirations, work and play, campus and city all blend together for a powerful learning experience.”

A strategic, multi-faceted ad campaign, CU in the City continues to promote the high-quality education students can find in the heart of Denver at Colorado’s only public urban research university. Learn more about CU in the City.
