CU Denver’s Guide to Preparing—and Destressing—During Finals Week

December 5, 2023

It’s that time of the semester! Classes are winding down and it is time to show off all that you’ve learned over the past few months. CU Denver is here to support you as you cross all the things off your to-do list! During finals, here are some ways to help you prepare, recharge, and de-stress.

  1. Focus at the Learning Resources Center: Meet with tutors while fueling up on free coffee, tea, and snacks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 – 11 a.m. at the center’s café. Learn more about the center’s other supports and programs here.
  1. Check out the Lola & Rob Salazar Student Wellness Center: This one-stop-shop has plenty of ways to help you stay active or get support at any time of the year, but especially during finals. Burn some energy in the weight and cardio area, on the climbing wall, or in the pool. Get resources you need from the Wellness Suite and Food Pantry. Take a nap in the nook, assemble your lab group in a study room, or take a moment to slow down in a reflection room.
  1. Support your mental health: CU Denver has resources to help any day of the year, including the CU Denver CARE Team and the CU Denver Counseling Center. Click here to learn more.
  1. Hang out at the Auraria Library: Open to 11 p.m. on some nights, the library hosts Relaxation Station events to help you navigate the final days of the semester.
  1. Take a break: Whether you’re in a festive spirit or need a moment to refocus, there are plenty of events to set your mood. Here are 11 events on campus for you!
