Todd Saliman, the University of Colorado’s 24th president, visited CU Denver on April 25 to meet some of the university’s people, tour some of its spaces, and learn about some of the university points of pride—and there was a lot to cover.
In addition to meeting with leaders from key CU Denver governance groups including Staff Council, Faculty Assembly, and the University of Colorado Denver Association of Lecturers and Instructors (UCDALI), President Saliman and other CU System leaders took advantage of the opportunity to learn about CU Denver’s unique assets directly from students, faculty, and staff that make up the fabric of this campus.

President Saliman’s itinerary for the visit included a lunch with a diverse mix of CU Denver students, a tour of College of Arts & Media facilities and recent projects (including a student film), and a candid group discussion on approaches toward increasing student recruitment and retention—with student success being high strategic priorities both for CU Denver and for the CU System as a whole.
