At CU Denver, research is a year-round focus. That was evident at the July 24 Summer Research Symposium, when 63 learners convened at the LynxConnect to present their projects. The group was comprised of 11 EUReCA! Summer Fellows, 18 McNair Scholars, and 34 Lynx Summer Academy participants.
Projects ranged from altering proteins to building a realistic 90s-era movie set to examining the preservation of a spoken-only West African language. Participants spanned 18 majors and CU Denver’s seven schools and colleges. “Research really is for everyone,” said Liz Evans, senior program coordinator for undergraduate research.
