May 11, 2020

The following is a message from Sarah Trzeciak, senior director of Student Career Development, and Tony Smith, director of the Experiential Learning Center. Both offices are housed in the LynxConnect.

Dear Lynx:

Congratulations on graduating from CU Denver! We are so proud of the hard work you’ve put in to get to graduation. We know this semester didn’t go as planned, and what was a really great job market in January looks very different in May. We’re here to help you navigate this uncertain time and provide you with resources to help you.

LynxConnect staff have resources available that will help you to take control of job searching during these uncertain times. Meet with a career counselor to learn effective job searching strategies, or participate in a mock interview with a counselor. These virtual appointments and more can be scheduled on Handshake. Our Peer Advisors are also available for drop-in advising sessions.

Employers are still hiring! We are constantly updating Handshake with virtual recruiting events. We also have a new online tool called Big Interview where you can practice your interview skills virtually. Use the code 1475 to access this tool.

In addition, we’re offering some webinars to help answer many of the questions you might have.

Upcoming Webinars

Lastly, check out our new Job Search Studio on canvas. Designed to help you navigate the job search process, with activities and videos you can view from you couch! We’ll be uploading new content weekly. To enroll, email us at lynxconnect@ucdenver.edu.

When you’re ready to start, we’re here to help you succeed. We care about your success. Congratulations, Lynx!

Warm Regards,
