What do you get when you combine discussions on species’ adaptations to climate change, quantum computing, and a 10,000-year-old domesticated dog? A MixTape event, a thrice-annual celebration of the diverse array of research and creative projects in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS). Past events have brought together the Lynx community with faculty speakers, research poster presentations, and a poetry reading. At this event, which was held on Feb. 12, attendees enjoyed hors d’oeuvres while chatting with students and faculty who showed poster presentations of their work.
Professor of Communication Lisa Keränen, PhD, addressed the crowd and spoke about the accomplishments of CLAS students and employees. Chancellor Kenneth T. Christensen praised faculty’s efforts to advance research and creative works and how they integrate undergraduate and graduate students in their work. Troy Butler, PhD, professor of mathematics and associate dean of research and creative activities, detailed funding successes and opportunities for CU Denver faculty.
