In late March, CU Denver’s TransAmerica Cyber Team competed in the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (RMCCDC). After 16 hours of competition against a professional team of hackers, the group of students from the Business School and School of Engineering, Design and Computing came in second place. Next, they will compete in a wildcard round against other second place teams from eight regions in the country. The winner of the wildcard round will go to the national competition in late April.
“I’m very proud of our students,” said Joseph Murdock, Instructor of Information Systems in the Business School. “This is only the second year CU Denver has fielded a team for these events, and all of these students were new to it this year.”
