CU Denver is engaging in an active and dynamic strategic planning process to ensure the future success of its mental health, suicide, and substance abuse prevention and education efforts. This includes a thorough evaluation of policies, systems, and programming needs, as well as an examination of how both personnel and financial resources are deployed to address challenges, coordinate efforts across campus, and evaluate program effectiveness.
In fall of 2018, Chancellor Dorothy Horrell initiated the development of a campus-wide Mental Health Strategic Plan. The vision is for CU Denver to serve as the model urban university for mental wellness by creating a caring and welcoming environment that transforms the mental well-being of all CU Denver students.
